Since the early 20th the medical profession has experienced a scientific explosion as new technology and techniques emerged to diagnose and treat human illness. Nowadays many tests have become routine, especially if their cost is borne by insurance companies. I know there are many I do not have first-hand knowledge of but these are the ones I have heard and read about most often.
